I have removed the PAE packages shown in another guide since my cpu doesn’t support PAE,
finally I did yum update, and now I have the Correct folder that is asked in the log but it still doesn’t work.

Now I’m more confused!

ok I did dkms –kernelsourcedir=/lib/modules/2.6.30.5-43.fc11.i586/misc

Wich is where it is… but it’s searching for the older one, how can I fix it?

I found out that my Kernel is not that one, it’s /lib/modules/2.6.30.5-43.fc11.i586/misc and I used dkms –kernelsourcedir=/lib/modules/2.6.30.5-43.fc11.i586/misc

I guess it’s searching for that 2.6.29 one… how can I fix this?

You can use the –kernelsourcedir option to tell DKMS where it’s located.

Makefile:147: *** Error: unable to find the sources of your current Linux kerne$

I’m not sure what else to do, any help?

Dear Raja,

Thank you for this post – I had a similar error with /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup and, although it wasn’t identical to the problem that you had here (yum had left a mixture of older kernel-headers and kernel-devel), I cleared them out manually with yum and then made sure that all the kernel-* files were consistent and it was fixed.

Couldn’t have done this without this post.

I appreciate the help here… I tried, tried and tried again and now it works… I installed all the components listed on this website

I’ve ran updates to yum and installed gcc automake autoconf, etc… However I still receive the above message in the vbox-install.log file

Hi Dave,

Did you look at the error messages in /var/log/vbox-install.log? Also remember to yum install gcc automake autoconf

I’ve tried everything above and keep getting the same error! Can you offer any advice here?
